This morning I went for a walk, as I’m doing my best to be more active and get some of my extra weight off. As mentioned in a previous post, I have really flat feet and both feet have plantar fasciitis and sinus tarsi syndrome. A lot of pain I feel is exasperated by the 100 plus pounds of extra weight that I’m carrying. I don’t say all of this to complain. It’s simply my current reality. So, instead of being upset and frustrated and doing nothing about this, I’m slowly incorporating changes to get healthier, like quitting smoking (5 1/2 weeks now) and starting to exercise more. I’ll work on changing my eating habits as well after my exercise routine becomes more consistent. One thing at a time works best for me, then add more things when ready.

For many of us, including myself, we look at the end goal or desire, prior to going through the process and experience of the journey. I like to think of it as a vision of what you intend to happen, which is important to achieving what you desire. It’s not a bad thing or a good thing, only a natural thing.

I’ve had the best time here in Philly seeing my brother, sister-in-law, mom and the star ⭐️, my nephew James Edward Pryor! He has the best energy and I adore his smile. His laughter is contagious and his curly hair is beautiful. Nola, their dog, has been awesome too and she’s really great with my nephew. She even guarded me from James when I arrived till she knew I was safe. Smart and protective. It’s a shorter trip so I’ll be going back to California tomorrow, but this has been the trip of a lifetime for me. I got to meet an extension of my family for the first time and I’ll cherish this experience for a lifetime. Slide through for some of my favorite pics and videos. 💜🥰

I haven’t seen my brother Wes and sister-in-law Sarah in person, since their wedding about 5 years ago. In a few days, I’ll be traveling to Philadelphia to visit them and I’ll get to meet my nephew James for the first time. I’ve had the pleasure of FaceTiming with this happy guy, but it’s not the same as being in person.
